Interview: Jimmy Berry (maintainer of PIFR)

Jimmy Berry
Jimmy Berry

DrupalFiles.info is pleased to present an interview with the current
maintainer of Project
Issue File Review (PIFR)
, and former GHOP participant,
Jimmy Berry (blog, twitter, drupal)

Robin Monks: When did you first get started working with Drupal?

Jimmy Berry: Last year, through the GHOP program.  I started out doing
the global variable documentation...then simpletest stuff...then continued
after GHOP was over

So, now you're maintaining PIFR! What's that like?

After becoming heavily involved in SimpleTest development and looking
forward to testing.drupal.org becoming a reality it seemed to make sense to
move into that arena. Work was originally done on simpletestauto, but that
somewhat died out and I later started over with PIFR.

It has been a great learning experience, integrating into Drupal's API
and such, running a server network, and working with a number of people.  I
have come up with a lot of improvements and such that I have been working to
flesh out in PIFR 2.x that should provide a lot of great new features to the
community. Overall it has been a great experience.

Reviving CivicSpace Theme: Making a useful Drupal theme for grassroots communities

CivicSpace LogoBack in the day, the CivicSpace theme was designed by Chris Messina (factoryjoe on twitter, amazingly tallented guy) for CivicSpace. The theme was designed to make it incredibly easy for grass roots organizations and campaigns to develop a site that had the style and features they would need for their campaign or community to suceed.
